Points of Interest (or POIs) are randomly spawned nodes on the Overworld map outside of settlements. These nodes may consist of plants, animals, resources, friendly or hostile NPCs, or storytelling elements. The types POIs in an area are determined by the Region in which they are located, with more valuable POIs with stronger NPCs being more plentiful as you venture into more distant and dangerous areas.
