Cooking processes raw materials into something edible. As you improve your skill, you will be able to prepare more complex recipes, increase the nutritional values of your meals, and make better use of scarce resources.

At higher levels, and with the right facilities, cooks can further refine ingredients into their own unique dishes, gaining much greater control over these values within our Gastronomy System.

Getting Started

You will need a set of Cooking Tools, ingredients, and often a source of heat, to begin your culinary journey.

Starting at 25% Skill, you gain more detailed information when examining ingredients and prepared dishes. Hovering over an item will reveal more about its nutritional value, effects, and potential uses.

Gastronomy

At 50% skill (and upon construction of the right facilities0, you unlock Gastronomy, the advanced art of creating custom cuisines. Gastronomy lets you combine ingredients into your own unique dishes.

  • 50% Skill: Combine up to 2 ingredients.
  • 75% Skill: Combine up to 3 ingredients.
  • 100% Skill: Combine up to 5 ingredients.
