“It is not the material, but the absence of the human labour, which makes the thing worthless; and a piece of terra cotta, or of plaster of Paris, which has been wrought by the human hand, is worth all the stone in Carrara, cut by machinery.”

John Ruskin, The Seven Lamps of Architecture (1849)

Sculpting in Icebound governs the art of shaping malleable materials, including but not limited to stone, clay, and bone, into usable items. Early skill progression is dominated by pottery and ceramics, tying directly into the game's liquid system. But as sculptors specialize and advance, they gain access to a much wider selection of decorative and ornamental work, moving beyond function into craftsmanship.
